Refreshing Drink of Summer: 10 Different Lemonade Recipes

When the summer months come, one of the most delicious and refreshing drinks we look for to cool off in the face of hot weather is undoubtedly lemonade. Classically prepared with lemon, water, sugar and ice, lemonade is among the favourite drinks of many of us with its easy preparation, refreshing and vitamin-filled effects.

Classic Lemonade

Ingredients:

·        4 lemons

·        1 water glass of granulated sugar

·        4 cups of water

Preparation:

·        Obtain lemon juice by squeezing the lemons.

·        Mix the lemon juice, granulated sugar and water in a mixing bowl.

·        Garnish with ice and sliced lemon for serving.

Mint Lemonade

Ingredients:

·        4 lemons

·        1 water glass of granulated sugar

·        4 cups of water

·        A handful of fresh mint leaves

Preparation:

·        Obtain lemon juice by squeezing the lemons.

·        Crush the mint leaves in a blender or mortar.

·        Mix the lemon juice, granulated sugar, water and crushed mint leaves in a mixing bowl.

·        Garnish with ice and fresh mint leaves to serve.

Strawberry Lemonade

Ingredients:

·        4 lemons

·        1 water glass of granulated sugar

·        4 cups of water

·        Half a glass of strawberry slices

Preparation:

·        Squeeze the lemons to obtain lemon juice.

·        Puree the strawberries by crushing with a blender or fork.

·        Mix lemon juice, granulated sugar, water and strawberry puree in a mixing bowl.

·        Garnish with ice and strawberry slices to serve.

Mango-Pineapple Lemonade

Ingredients:

·        2 mango

·        Half a glass of fresh pineapple juice

·        4 lemons

·        1 water glass of granulated sugar

·        4 cups of water

Preparation:

·        Peel and chop the mangoes.

·        Obtain lemon juice by squeezing the lemons.

·        Puree the mangoes by mashing with a blender or fork.

·        In a mixing bowl, combine the mango puree, pineapple juice, lemon juice, granulated sugar and water.

·        Garnish with ice and fruit slices to serve.

Watermelon Lemonade

Ingredients:

·        4 cups chopped watermelon

·        4 lemon juice

·        1 glass of water

·        1/4 cup granulated sugar (optional)

·        Ice

Preparation:

·        Take the watermelon slices and chop them by removing the rind. Then puree it in a blender or food processor.

·        Strain the watermelon puree you have obtained with the help of a strainer to obtain watermelon juice and transfer it to a mixing bowl.

·        Squeeze the juice from the lemons and combine it with the watermelon juice.

·        Mix by adding water. If you want to add sugar, add the granulated sugar to the mixture with the water and mix well. You can adjust the amount of sugar according to your taste.

·        Chill the mixture in the refrigerator.

·        Before serving, add ice to the glasses and pour the watermelon lemonade over it.

·        Optionally, garnish with sliced lemon and watermelon pieces and serve.

Plum-Cherry Lemonade

Ingredients

·        1 cup fresh plums

·        1 water glass of fresh cherries

·        4 lemon juice

·        1 glass of water

·        1/4 cup granulated sugar (optional)

·        Ice

Preparation:

·        Wash the fresh plums and cherries and remove the seeds.

·        Puree the plums and cherries in a blender or food processor.

·        Strain the puree you have obtained with the help of a strainer to obtain the juice and transfer it to a mixing bowl.

·        Squeeze the juice from the lemons and combine with the juice.

·        Mix by adding water. If you want to add sugar, add the granulated sugar to the mixture with the water and mix well. You can adjust the amount of sugar according to your taste.

·        Chill the mixture in the refrigerator.

·        Before serving, add ice to the glasses and pour the plum-cherry lemonade over it.

·        Garnish with sliced lemon wedges or fresh cherries and plums, if desired.

Cool Lime

Ingredients:

·        Juice of 4 lemons

·        1/2 cup fresh mint leaves

·        4 cups of water

·        1/4 cup agave syrup or honey (optional)

·        Ice

Preparation:

·        Squeeze the juice from the lemons and transfer to a mixing bowl.

·        Lightly crush the fresh mint leaves with your hands to release their flavour.

·        Add the fresh mint leaves to the lemon juice and mix well.

·        Add water and continue mixing.

·        Optionally, you can sweeten with agave syrup or honey.

·        Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for a while.

·        Before serving, add ice to the glasses and pour the lemonade mixture over it.

·        Optionally, garnish with fresh mint leaves or sliced lemon and serve.

Orange Lemonade

Ingredients:

·        Juice of 4 lemons

·        Juice of 2 oranges

·        1 water glass of granulated sugar

·        4 cups of water

·        Ice

Preparation:

·        Squeeze the lemons and oranges to get the juice and transfer to a mixing bowl.

·        Add granulated sugar to the mixing bowl with lemon and orange juice.

·        Stir by adding water and ensure that the sugar is completely dissolved.

·        Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for a while.

·        Before serving, add ice cubes to the glasses and pour the orange lemonade over them.

·        Optionally, garnish with sliced lemon or orange slices and serve.

Blueberry Lemonade

Ingredients:

·        1 cup blueberries

·        4 lemon juice

·        1 water glass of granulated sugar

·        4 cups of water

·        Ice

Preparation:

·        Wash the blueberries and remove the stems.

·        Puree the blueberries in a blender or food processor.

·        Strain the puree you have obtained with the help of a strainer to obtain blueberry juice and transfer it to a mixing bowl.

·        Squeeze the juice from the lemons and combine it with the blueberry juice.

·        Stir in the granulated sugar and ensure that the sugar dissolves completely.

·        Thin the mixture by adding water and continue stirring.

·        Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for a while.

·        Before serving, add ice to the glasses and pour the blueberry lemonade over it.

·        Garnish with fresh blueberries or lemon wedges, if desired.

Sugar Free Lemonade

Ingredients:

·        Juice of 4 lemons

·        4 cups of water

·        Ice

·        Fresh mint leaves or sliced lemon (optional)

Preparation:

·        Squeeze the lemons to get the juice and transfer to a mixing bowl.

·        Stir by adding water and lighten the intensity of the lemon juice.

·        Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for a while.

·        Before serving, add ice cubes to the glasses and pour the unsweetened lemonade over it.

·        Garnish with fresh mint leaves or sliced lemon wedges, if desired.
